
The festive season is truly here! This is my first Christmas addition for 2016…and a relatively healthy one at that (don’t worry, naughtier ones to follow…). For our full collection of Xmas Canapés so far please see the page here…
Ingredients – makes 20
5 apples (I like gala but choose your favourite!)
200g of stilton
Rocket or Italian salad leaves
A handful of walnuts (roughly chopped)
Balsamic Glaze
Lemon juice
Method
- Core the apples and slice horizontally into circles with each slice around 1cm (should be about 5 or 6 per apple)
- Douse the apple in lemon juice to ensure it does not go brown
- Place a few leaves on top of each apple slice
- Add a slice of stilton on top of the rocket/salad leaves
- Sprinkle some walnuts on each slice
- Drizzle a little balsamic glaze as a garnish
